The pictures are nice and everything, I mean common, it's Adriana Lima after all, but still it's not the pictures that capture the attention in this particular publication. The targline of GQ editorial is "Adriana Lima: Our Favorite… VIRGIN? Could the world’s sexiest underwear model really be so pure?" and guess what - in the interview Adriana does indeed make a claim that she's devoted catholic and a virgin, who firmly believes that sex is for after marriage!

For the record, I'm not saying that it's absolutely impossible that she's telling the truth, but I do think that it's highly unlikely. There is of course a group of Lima fans who religiously believe, that nothing other than the crystal truth could possibly come out of the pretty lips of Her Perfectness Adriana The Supemodel-gone-Mother Teresa, and who were thrilled to learn that she is keeping her purity. I seriously doubt that Senhorita Lima herself came up with the story she told GQ, so it gotta be the idea of whoever does the PR for her. I was wondering though, did they really expect the average GQ reader to buy a chastity story from a 24-year-old brazilian model, who has been in the business since the age of 15, dated a number of well-known playboys, was engaged to Lenny Kravitz and never been too shy about showing some extra skin.

Andriana Lima in Wicked, 1999 book by photographer Ellen von Unwerth, who is an ex-fashion model herself. The theme of the photoshoot is occult if not satanic - Adriana portrays young naked witch with all the necessary attributes like broomstick, black cat and pointy hat.
